Chuanyi Water Treatment Completes Containerized Integrated Wastewater Treatment Project for Cebu Supermarket, Philippines

Chuanyi Water Treatment has successfully completed and handed over a customized integrated wastewater treatment project for a large comprehensive supermarket in Cebu, Philippines. The project comprises five containerized integrated sewage treatment units — one 40 m³/day unit and four 100 m³/day units — with a total treatment capacity of 440 m³/day. The system treats mixed domestic sewage, catering and kitchen wastewater, and cleaning effluent generated by daily commercial operations.
Cebu’s tropical climate brings high rainfall, humidity and temperature, while the supermarket’s fluctuating customer flow leads to significant variations in wastewater volume, with high grease and organic loads. To address these conditions, Chuanyi designed a containerized integrated solution that integrates pretreatment, biological degradation, solid-liquid separation and automatic control within standardized containers. The units were prefabricated and factory-tested in China, shipped by sea, and installed on site through hoisting, piping connection and commissioning, minimizing civil works and shortening the delivery cycle.
The system features an impact-resistant biological process for enhanced removal of grease and organic pollutants, corrosion-resistant construction adapted to long-term high-humidity tropical environments, and a modular layout that flexibly accommodates peak and off-peak water usage. The effluent meets local environmental discharge standards. This project demonstrates the technical feasibility of containerized integrated wastewater treatment equipment for decentralized commercial wastewater treatment in Southeast Asia, providing a replicable equipment solution for similar commercial complexes.
