Application of Water Treatment in Energy and Power Industry

The physical explanation of permeation is that the water in the solution flows from the lowconcentration side to the high concentration side through the membrane structure, and fnally the flowofwater makes the solution concentration on both sides of the membrane equal.

Reverse osmosis is to apply a certain pressure to make water flow from the high concentration side tothe low concentration side through the membrane structure, while the special membrane structuremakes the salt in the solution not pass through, and fnally separates the salt in the solution from thewater.

Reverse osmosis technology needs a lot of technical equipment support in the actual operation of theplant. At present, the power industry has this technical support and can complete the water treatmentprocess of the power industry. In the whole system process, the system heater maintains the heatingeffect on the water treatment system. On the one hand, it ensures the water output in the reverseosmosis process, on the other hand, it keeps the system water temperature constant, which isconducive to the normal operation of the system.

The water in the initial state enters the pretreatment stage after simple precipitation and fltration. inthe pretreatment stage, the power industry mainly carries out another deep fltration of water quality,including mechanical accelerated clarifer and ultrafltration system.

In the above process, the purpose offltering suspended substances, colloidal substances, andmicroorganisms in water can be realized, and sediment and other deep fltration can be realized withthe support of ultrafltration equipment so that the water pollution index (EDl) entering the reverseosmosis system is less than 5.

Two Layer Filter Material Filter: For the reverse osmosis desalination system of surface watersource, the two-layer flter material flter (generally anthracite and quartz sand) has a large sewageinterception capacity, long operation cycle, slow growth of head loss in operation, and goodapplication effect in practice, ensuring that the reverse osmosis inlet water meets the reguirements.Dosing: Various coagulants are added in the pretreatment to remove suspended solids, colloids, andother impurities in the water. However, if it is not added blindly according to the actual situation ofthe water source, it will not improve the water quality.

Since high purity water absorbs a lot of heat, it is conducive to removing heat from the generator andbringing it to the generator. Many types of motors and generators will produce a lot of heat duringoperation. Too much heat will destroy them from the inside to the outside.

When the boiler heats water, a large amount of condensate will appear. in order to fully facilitate theevaporated water, we use a condensate receiver(condensate tank) to capture it and send it back to theboiler room for reuse. A condensate polishing system is used as an effective water treatment strategyto save power, energy, and chemical costs. This process can also prolong the service life of boilerequipment and improve its performance.
